Object - English Grammar in Hindi | कर्म

The Object is the other part of the sentence that tells us about the what is being affected by the action the subject.

कर्म/कारक (object) वाक्य का दूसरा भाग है और यह जानकारी देता है कि कार्य का प्रभाव किस पर पड़े रहा है.

In other words, object is whatever is affected by the action or state of the subject.

अलग शब्दों में, कर्ता के कार्य या अवस्था से जिस पर भी प्रभाव पड़ता है व कर्म/कारक (Object) कहलाता है.

Examples:

1.	I am eating food. Here the noun food is the object of the sentence. इस वाक्य में संज्ञा food कारक की भूमिका में है.
2.	She is very happy The phrase very happy is the object of this sentence. यहां वाक्यांश very happy इस वाक्य का कर्म/कारक है.
3.	Government officers visited our house after the earthquake. Here the house after the earthquake is the object. इस वाक्य में कारक है the house after the earthquake.

Some sentences have two objects - direct and indirect.

कुछ वाक्यों में 2 कर्म/कारक होते हैं - प्रत्यक्ष और अप्रत्यक्ष.

Example:

He gave my friend a spoon.
This sentence has two objects - my friend and a spoon.
इस वाक्य के दो कारक हैं - my friend और a spoon.

my friend is the indirect object
my friend अप्रत्यक्ष कारक है
a spoon is the direct object.
a spoon प्रत्यक्ष कारक है

You can distinguish Direct and Indirect Objects based on their usage in the sentence.

उपयोग के आधार पर आप प्रत्यक्ष और अप्रत्यक्ष कर्म/कारक को पहचान सकते हैं.

Example:

He gave a spoon to my friend.
In this sentence we have reversed the sequence of the two objects and added a to.
इस वाक्य में हमने दोनों कर्म/कारक के स्थान को आपस में बदल दिया है और एक to जोड़ा है.

to my friend is the direct object
to my friend प्रत्यक्ष कारक है
a spoon is the indirect object.
a spoon अप्रत्यक्ष कर्म/कारक है
