Malpractices in Examinations Conducted by the SSC and Debarment

It has been observed by the Commission that a few candidates resort to various unfair means and malpractices in the examinations conducted by the Commission. To protect the integrity and sanctity of examinations and keep such unscrupulous elements out of government recruitment process, the Commission has revised the debarment period from the examinations of the Commission for indulging into various malpractices as per details given below. Debarment will commence from the date of indulging into unfair means / committing the malpractice. These provisions will come into force with effect from 1st June, 2018:

3Obstructing the conduct of examination/ instigating other candidates not to take the examination. 3 Years3 Years
4Making statements which are incorrect or false, suppressing material information, submitting fabricated documents, etc.3 Years
5Obtaining support/ influence for his/ her candidature by any irregular or improper means.3 Years
6Possession of Mobile Phone beyond frisking zone, whether in ‘switched on’ or ‘switched off’ mode.3 Years
7Appearing in the same examination more than once in contravention of the rules.3 Years
8Taking examination by a candidate who is on examination duty in the same examination.3 Years
9Damaging examination related infrastructure/ equipments.5 Years
10Appearing in the Exam with forged Admit Card, identity proof, etc.5 Years
11Possession of fire arms/ weapons during the examination.5 Years
12Assault/ use of force/ causing bodily harm in any manner to the examination functionaries’ i.e. Supervisor, Invigilator, Security Guard, Commission’s representatives etc.7 Years
13Threatening/ intimidating examination functionaries with weapons/ fire arms.7 Years
14Using unfair means in the examination hall like copying from unauthorized sources such as written material on any paper or body parts, etc.7 Years
15Possession of bluetooth devices, spy cameras, and any other electronic gadgets in the examination hall.7 Years
16Impersonating/ Procuring impersonation by any person.7 Years
17Taking snapshots or making videos of question papers or examination material, labs, etc.2 Years
18Sharing examination terminal through remote desktop softwares/ Apps/ LAN/ VAN, etc.7 Years
19Attempting to hack or manipulate examination servers, data and examination systems at any point before, during or after the examination.7 Years
